Product Introduction
UNS C72900 Copper Nickel Tin Bronze is spinodally hardened to achieve superior properties beyond those typically found in other high-strength copper alloys. In the extruded and spinodally hardened condition, AMS 4596 C72900 exhibits tensile strength up to 127 ksi and hardness up to HRC 30. This copper alloy composition (Copper - 15% Nickel - 8% Tin) maintains excellent machinability characteristics.
C72900 Copper Nickel Tin Alloy (Wrought)
C72900 Copper Nickel Tin Alloy provides solutions for demanding material challenges. Through advanced manufacturing processes including tailored alloying additions and spinodal hardening technology, this engineered copper nickel tin alloy delivers properties exceeding typical high-strength copper alloys.
In the cast and spinodally hardened (CX) condition, Copper Nickel Tin Alloy exhibits tensile strength up to 120 ksi and hardness up to HRC 34, while maintaining excellent machinability in its Copper-15% Nickel-8% Tin composition.
